Beaumont Health’s Yoga Therapy in Healthcare program applications may be requested by contacting Sonia Sorrenti. The following must be received before acceptance into all courses:

  • completed application
  • $40 non-refundable application fee
  • certificates of completed yoga teacher training

Applications to Research and Teaching Assistant and Clinical Rotation courses must also include:

  • proof of professional liability insurance
  • documentation for human resources approval 
  • complete health screening results for health department approval

Health Screening Information

All students must complete a health screening and receive approval from Beaumont’s health department prior to attending the Research and Teaching Assistant and Clinical Rotation courses.  This can be performed through a student’s own physician, local county health departments, or through specific Beaumont Urgent Care locations for a fee. The requirements are as follows:

  • Titers (quantitative result and range) for Rubella, Rubeola, Varicella, and Mumps (vaccination if titer is low prior to course start date)
  • TB test (current year of course; skin test results in MMs or blood QFT results acceptable)
  • Influenza vaccine (current year of course)
  • Tdap (tetanus with diphtheria and pertussis) vaccination evidence (within the last 10 years)
  • 9-panel drug screen (current year of course)
  • Covid-19 vaccine (full vaccination)

Policies

Students must comply with all hospital, department, and program policies. A student handbook and overview of expectations will be provided before the start of each course.
