Each fellow will be expected to develop a clinical or basic science research project, which should be suitable for presentation at a national meeting (e.g. ASTRO) and publishable in a peer-reviewed journal. It is advisable that the fellow develop this project during the first three months of the fellowship. In order to facilitate timely development of an acceptable project, the fellow will arrange early meetings with clinical and bioscientific faculty to discuss possible research pursuits in one of two primary areas of basic science research (either physics or biology).
