About the Residency

The goal of the residency is to provide well-rounded, comprehensive education and training in physical medicine and rehabilitation, exposing the resident to both "primary care" physical medicine, as well as all facets of sophisticated and specialized tertiary physical medicine and rehabilitation care.

  • Established in 1982, graduating its first class in 1986
  • The program recruited its 116th resident and graduated its 32nd class this program year
  • 2 of our residents have passed with the highest board scores in the nation 
    • over the past 5 years our first-time pass rate is 94.4%
  • Categorical 4-year program, 4 residents per year
  • Maximum ACGME accreditation
  • The program features 
    • 22 faculty members
    • An interdisciplinary team of over 500 PT, OT and SLP
    • 86 total inpatient rehabilitation beds, acute, ortho and neuro rehab
    • 450 sub-acute beds
    • 1500 total inpatient beds
  • Academic affiliation with OUWB
  • All 22 faculty members have academic appointments at OUWB
  • Dynamic clinical curriculum with a balance between physical medicine, musculoskeletal and general rehab
  • Subspecialty exposure to ortho rehab, cancer rehab and neuro rehab
