  • Daily noon academic conferences 
  • Bimonthly Cardiology Lectures 
  • Monthly Journal Club, Grand Rounds and Morbidity & Mortality conferences. 
  • Member of the Michigan State University State-wide Campus System, providing  a monthly didactic program held at the university
  • Access to John Hopkins PEAC ambulatory  out-patient modules   
  • Access to Scientific American’s IM Weekly Curriculum 
  • On-going Board Review 

Resident call schedule

  • PGY1 -  4 per month
  • PGY2 -  4 per month
  • PGY3 -  4 per month

  • General Internal Medicine x 4 months
  • Block Nights x 1 month
  • Critical Care x 2 months
  • Cardiology x 1 month
  • Pulmonary x  1 month
  • Primary Care Ambulatory x 1 month
  • Emergency Medicine x 1 month
  • Geriatrics x 1 month 

 Year 2

  • General Internal Medicine x 4 months
  • Critical Care x 2 months
  • Neurology x 1 month
  • Infectious Diseases x 1 month
  • Gastroenterology x 1 month
  • Endocrinology x 1 month
  • Electives x 2 months  

Year 3

  • General Internal Medicine x 4 months
  • Critical Care x 2 months
  • Oncology/Hematology x 1 month
  • Rheumatology x 1 month
  • Nephrology x 1 month
  • Electives x 3 months 

Visiting student program

Students will gain an enthusiasm for medicine, confidence in their clinical skills and a solid understanding of inpatient medical care. The program’s philosophy and approach to its students is the same – to teach in a humane, encouraging and friendly environment.
