The Internal Medicine residency at Beaumont Hospital, Trenton is a dually accredited, three-year program leading to eligibility for certification by ACOI and/or
ABIM. Beaumont, Trenton has the ability to meet all the rotation requirements within the hospital system.
While the majority of rotations will be at Beaumont, Trenton, some sub-specialty rotations and electives can be scheduled through Beaumont Hospital-Dearborn or Farmington Hills to ensure the broadest exposure to volume and pathology.
Beaumont Hospital-Trenton’s Internal Medicine Residency Program is dedicated to developing knowledgeable, skillful and ethical physicians in the art and science of medicine. Achievement of these goals is accomplished through the care of the diverse patient population at Trenton, as well participation in our structured didactic program that encompasses the ACGME core competencies: Patient Care and Procedural Skills, Medical Knowledge, Practice-based Learning and Improvement, Interpersonal and Communication Skills, Systems-based Practice, and Professionalism. Graduate Resident Physicians will demonstrate proficiency in these competencies and be ready to practice internal medicine in a manner that demonstrates compassion and respect for their patients, colleagues and the members of the healthcare profession in its entirety.
