Internal Medicine Residency, Farmington Hills

Curriculum

Beaumont, Farmington Hills continues a tradition of excellent didactic educational opportunities in addition to an array of clinical exposures.

Residents attend

  • residents will attend weekly block lectures, presented by residents, fellows, and attendings. 
    • these will include board reviews, sub-specialty lectures, etc.
  • additional board review
  • ambulatory medicine lectures
  • hematology conference
  • monthly journal club
  • monthly morbidity and mortality conferences

To allow the resident to achieve their maximum potential, the resident is assigned a mentor from the attending staff, each of whom is charged with the task of meeting with the resident on a regular basis and overseeing their progress throughout their three years.


Resident call schedule

  • PGY1 - 7 per month
  • PGY2 - 5 per month
  • PGY3 - 4 per month
