About

About the Fellowship

The Maternal -Fetal Medicine Fellowship at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak offers a three-year fellowship-training program, which is accredited by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and accepts one fellow each academic year. The clinical and research-oriented fellowship is designed to provide advanced education and training in the care of the pregnant patient and her fetus, prenatal diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, clinical and didactic teaching skills, and developing research skills. The fellowship offers a full scope of clinical experience in high-risk obstetrics and prenatal genetics. Educational objectives are organized according to Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology competencies. It is our goal that upon completion of training, our maternal-fetal medicine fellows will have completed all of the ACGME requirements for subspecialty board certification and will be well-qualified for a clinical and research career in maternal-fetal medicine.

The Fetal Imaging Center is staffed by MFM specialist, pediatric radiologist, ultrasound technologists and genetic counselors. Our academic environment, faculty educators, case acuity, diversity and volume of complicated pregnancies provide a strong foundation for our comprehensive fellowship training program in maternal-fetal medicine.
