The Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellowship at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak provides broad, clinical training in this specialty at one of the nation's premier hospitals. Training includes

  • robotic and laparoscopic surgery
  • anal physiology
  • management of inflammatory bowel disease

Mission Statement

The core purpose of the program is to provide patients with excellent surgical care through rigorous training, quality improvement, and research. The program serves the residents of Southeast Michigan and beyond, and adheres to the overall hospital system's principle of providing compassionate and safe care for all patients.

Aims

The aim of the program is to train a colorectal surgery fellow to become a safe, competent, and compassionate surgeon. Other aims include to produce future leaders in the field of colon and rectal surgery and to produce impactful research that improves the quality of care.
