Application requirements

  • submit an application in writing
  • be a graduate of an AOA approved college of osteopathic medicine
  • satisfactorily complete an AOA approved
    • positions will be linked to the Residency
    • PYI year is consulted on part of the entire orthopaedic residency (five year total)
  • be licensed in the State of Michigan at the commencement of this residency program and registered with the Federal and State Controlled Substance Bureau
  • application deadline for the next academic year is September 30 of the current year
  • LMCE approved schools
 

Residency Selection

  • Beaumont Hospital, Farmington Hills policy is to grant equal employment opportunity to all qualified persons
  • Beaumont Hospital, Farmington Hills Department of Orthopaedics participates in the ERAS matching process. The Director of Medical Education and residents also participate in the interview process
  • selected Beaumont Hospital, Farmington Hills residents are notified that appointment is on a one-year basis, subject to renewal based on a resident's performance review
  • residents' performance is reviewed on a regular basis and in accordance with the regulations of the American Osteopathic Association
  • residents are notified of any deficiencies or criticisms that need to be rectified prior to entrance into the following year or for completion of the final year of residency.
