Vascular / Interventional Radiology Fellowship, Royal Oak

The majority of the fellowship training is provided in the Angiography suites.

  • curriculum includes rotations through the Imaging Interventional service to gain experience with image-guided biopsy and drainage
  • rotation in the Imaging Division provides experience with performing and interpreting magnetic resonance angiography and CT angiography
  • rotation through the institution's Vascular Lab provides experience with non-invasive ultrasound evaluation of patients with vascular disease
  • a dedicated research rotation is also provided

The training program provides a variety of didactic teaching experiences for the trainee. Clinical teaching occurs during procedures and at the alternators during read-out sessions. A weekly Division conference as well as monthly morbidity/mortality conferences are held. An Interventional Radiology lecture series occurs throughout the year with one or two lectures given each month.

The trainee participates in a variety of multidisciplinary conferences, including a monthly Vascular Surgery conference and Endovascular conference.
