Reiki Therapy Level 1An Introduction to Reiki Therapy: The Research and the Science
This first level of training is educational in scope. It introduces participants to the concepts and theory of Reiki Therapy.
This one-day class is designed to meet the needs of professional nurses, massage therapists and other health care providers, to increase their knowledge about Reiki Therapy and its use in healthcare. Others who are interested in learning more about this
subject are also welcome to attend.
After this training, participants will experience an increased awareness of their physiological stress reactions; and then they will be able to utilize Reiki for their own stress-reduction and self-care. They will also understand the clinical evidence
basis for Reiki Therapy and how it may be incorporated into patient care.
A total of 7 contact hours will be awarded for nurses. Criteria for successful completion include attendance at the entire event and submission of a completed evaluation form. Beaumont Health is approved as a provider of nursing continuing
professional development by the Ohio Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. (OBN-001-91) (OH-316, 4/23/2020).
Upon successful completion of this program, massage therapists will receive 7 continuing education hours
through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork. (NCBTMB).
