Corewell Health is the new name for Beaumont.

Time commitment

  • expect to spend an average of 64 hours a week in class and clinical throughout the 36 months
  • attend various in-state meetings and seminars, at their own cost
  • spend an average of 1 day per month in the Simulation Lab
  • off shifts hours (midnight, afternoon and weekend) are required
  • rotate to rural sites throughout the state of Michigan during the course of the program
  • rotate away from home to enrichment and rural sites for an average of 6 months during the course of the program
  • scheduled time off between semesters throughout the program

Other costs:$8,500 (approximately) conferences, travel and lodging

Students are responsible for costs incurred for travel while in the program, including gas, lodging and meals.

Health insurance is also required to be in the program. Please make arrangements to have this by the start of the program.  

*New tuition rates are set by the Oakland University Board of Trustees in mid to late summer. The Board reserves the right to change any and all tuition rates when circumstance make such a change necessary.


Financial aid

Available through Oakland University and a loan program through the military.
