Pediatric Residency, Royal Oak

Graduate Career Paths

Graduates of the Pediatric Residency Program have enjoyed varied and challenging practice and postgraduate training opportunities. Approximately half of the graduates enter general pediatric practice, usually in the state of Michigan. Opportunities exist in many practices in the immediate referral area, and Beaumont's program provides daily contact with area pediatricians who are looking for practice partners.

Additionally, graduates of the program have entered practice in remote and underserved areas, military and public health service commitments, locum tenens practice, and academic generalist positions. Approximately half of the residents pursue fellowship training following their residency. Every resident who has completed pediatric residency training at Beaumont Hospital and then sought fellowship training, has obtained a position in an excellent program.
