Subra Sripada, Chief Transformation Officer & System Chief Information Officer

Subra Sripada is chief transformation officer and system chief information officer at Beaumont Health, a not-for-profit organization formed by Beaumont Health System, Botsford Health Care and Oakwood Healthcare to provide high quality, efficient, accessible services in a caring environment for southeastern Michigan residents and beyond. It consists of eight hospitals with 3,337 beds, 153 outpatient sites, 5,000 physicians, more than 33,000 employees and about 3,500 volunteers.

Sripada came to Beaumont Health from Beaumont Health System, where he serves as executive vice president, chief administrative officer and chief information officer. His areas of responsibility include information technology; strategic planning and business development, marketing and public affairs; and the project management office. Sripada joined Beaumont in November 2008 as associate chief information officer, later advancing to vice president and chief information officer and then senior vice president and chief information officer.

Prior to joining Beaumont, Sripada served in a leadership role at PricewaterhouseCoopers, a global management consulting firm, where he consulted on health information technology and business strategy in the U.S. and internationally. He has also held leadership positions at CapGemini Ernst and Young and worked for six years at Henry Ford Health System.

Sripada is a member of the College of Health Information Management Executives. He serves on the board of the Michigan Health and Hospital Association and the Healthcare Advisory Boards of Microsoft, SAP and AT&T. In addition, he serves on the board of the health information exchange consortium Michigan Health Connect, the Governor’s Cyber Security Council, State CIO Cabinet and American Heart Association’s Metro Detroit board of directors.

Sripada earned his Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Osmania University in India and his master's in industrial and systems engineering from Kansas State University.
