Beaumont's Speech and Language Pathology program is the most comprehensive in Michigan and one of the largest in the United States. It is one of the first hospital departments in Michigan to achieve full accreditation from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association

The Speech and Language Pathology Department provides services to adults, adolescents and children who have experienced a loss of communication.

The department has over 60 speech and language pathologists who work in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient rehabilitation and conduct comprehensive evaluations and set up treatment plans to help individuals achieve their communication goals.

Each SLP has a Master’s degree, has earned the Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) through our national organization (ASHA), is licensed by the State of Michigan and has specialized training in their chosen area.

Our services span over the three Beaumont hospitals and several outpatient programs all within the Beaumont Health System.

To best serve you, our services are divided into:

Adult Services

Adolescent Services
