Beaumont School of Sleep Technology CAAHEP Accreditation

Beaumont Sleep Evaluation Services is a teaching institution which owns and sponsors Beaumont Sleep Evaluation Services - Berkley Center Polysomnographic Technology Program, accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) upon the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation for Polysomnographic Technology (CoA-PSG).

Beaumont Sleep Evaluation Services - Berkley Center Polysomnographic Technology Program is one of only 32 CAAHEP accredited Stand Alone programs in Polysomnographic Technology nationwide.

According to CAAHEP accreditation serves:

•  public's interest in quality health care - successful graduates are likely to become capable and skilled practitioners;
•  employers' interest in competent new staff - employers are motivated to assure that their practitioners are well-educated and competently trained;
• students' interest in receiving quality education. - graduating from an accredited program becomes a requirement in sleep technology profession and polysomnographic technology certification.

Beaumont Sleep Evaluation Services – Berkley Center AASM accreditation as a Provider of the Accredited Sleep Technologist Education Program

Beaumont Sleep Evaluation Services – Berkley Center has recently received accreditation from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) as a Provider of the Accredited Sleep Technologist Education Program, A-STEP, meaning that the education offered by Beaumont Sleep Evaluation Services – Berkley Center’s  Introductory Course has met the standards of accreditation designated by the AASM. The accreditation process involved a detailed evaluation of the program, including faculty, curriculum, resources and assessment.  

Beaumont Sleep Evaluation Services Registered Polysomnographic Technologists

All Beaumont Sleep Evaluation Services technologists are Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (RPSGT).

A Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) is a fully trained sleep technologist who has met the rigorous requirements to become credentialed by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists

Most of Beaumont Sleep Evaluation Services technologists are also clinical instructors and preceptors with significant teaching experience.
