Vestibular Rehabilitation

Purpose

Beaumont's Vestibular Rehabilitation Program helps individuals recover from or adjust to conditions affecting the portion of the inner ear system responsible for balance and visual stability.

Service Overview

Any individual with a diagnosis of vestibular dysfunction can benefit from this program. Treatment is customized to meet the individual's specific needs.

Conditions Treated

  • Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV)
  • Unilateral and bilateral vestibular hypofunction
  • Post-operative acoustic neuroma vesection, vestibular nerve resection, labyrinthectomy, posterior canal occlusion, etc.
  • Traumatic vestibular damage
  • Meniere's disease, in certain cases

Insurance

Therapy coverage depends on the individual's insurance benefits. Discount programs are available to those who qualify. A prescription is required for this program from a physician or physician's assistant.
