Neurotrauma
Purpose
Beaumont's Neurotrauma Rehabilitation Program provides a comprehensive assessment and individualized rehabilitation services to individuals experiencing functional impairments of communicative, cognitive, physical and social-emotional abilitiessecondary to neurological disorders.
Service Overview
- Interdisciplinary team approach composed of two or more of the following professionals providing your care: Physiatrist/M.D./D.O., Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech-Language Pathologist, Recreational Therapist, Social Work, Registered Nurse Case Coordinator, and Neuropsychologist
- Dr. Sherry Viola, Medical Director of the program, present at weekly team meetings (at Beaumont Health Center)
- Treatment is customized to meet the patient's specific needs and goals
- Monthly team meetings are conducted to ensure communication and a patient-centered approach

The Comprehensive Neurotrauma Rehabilitation Program is available only at the Beaumont Health Center.

Insurance
Coverage from most major insurance companies is accepted, but therapy coverage depends on individual insurance benefits. Individuals may qualify for discounted services or a scholarship fund. A prescription is required by a physician or a physician's assistant.
