Donna Hoban, M.D., senior vice president and medical director, has named Michael R. Demers, M.D., as the new chief of Surgical Services at Beaumont Hospital, Grosse Pointe.
Board certified in Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Demers is a graduate of the School of Medicine at Wayne State University, and also completed his undergraduate studies in biology at Wayne State. He completed a residency in orthopedic surgery, which included a specialty rotation at Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children in Erie, Pennsylvania. He has a special interest in hip and knee replacement surgery. Dr. Demers lives in Clinton Township with his wife and four children.
“I am pleased to have Dr. Demers in this leadership role,” said Dr. Hoban. “His exceptional talent and skill as an orthopedic surgeon will continue to enhance surgical services at Beaumont, Grosse Pointe.”
