Exercise-induced asthma affects many athletes
With high school and college spring sports in full swing, Devang Doshi, M.D., director, Pediatric Pulmonology, Beaumont, Royal Oak, is available to discuss symptoms and medications used to treat and control exercise-induced asthma, or EIA. This condition frequently affects individuals who do not suffer from chronic asthma. Athletes with EIA experience difficulty breathing five to 10 minutes after exercise.
