BEAUMONT, ROYAL OAK OUTPATIENT DIALYSIS SERVICES RELOCATES TO BERKLEY
In a continuing effort to enhance patient care, Beaumont Hospitals Dialysis Services in Royal Oak moved to a new, expanded outpatient facility in Berkley on Oct. 19.
"The change in location from Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak to Berkley for outpatient dialysis services is part of our efforts to improve the patient experience," says Deborah Counts, R.N., Renal Program administrator. "The new layout and location benefits both our patients and staff. We'll continue to provide hemodialysis at the center as well as outpatient home dialysis services- peritoneal and home hemodialysis."
The 12,740 square-foot dialysis center, one of four Beaumont dialysis locations, will be open Monday through Saturday from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. It includes 28 dialysis stations with flat screen televisions and a training center for home dialysis therapies. The staff at Beaumont dialysis centers are experts in kidney disease. Team members include nephrologists, nurses, hemodialysis technicians, dietitians, social workers and support staff.
Beaumont dialysis centers in Berkley, Hazel Park, Rochester Hills and Sterling Heights offer outpatient services and education, including in-center hemodialysis and home training programs.
