BEAUMONT OFFERS CHAIR YOGA CLASS FOR THOSE WITH BREATHING LIMITATIONS
“Chair Yoga” is a 45-minute seated yoga class offered to anyone who has completed pulmonary rehabilitation and is interested in participating in a maintenance program.

Beaumont Hospital’s Chair Yoga classes are designed to offer the benefits of yoga to people with pulmonary disorders, or breathing limitations.
The class meets every Thursday from 12:15 to 1 p.m. at the Beaumont Medical Center, 15959 Hall Road, Macomb, in the Pulmonary Rehabilitation conference room, Suite 305. The class costs $5 per session.

Certified Yoga Instructor and Beaumont Registered Respiratory Therapist, Mary Sabo says, “Patients will learn how to take deep, relaxing breaths in a comfortable setting while moving, stretching and strengthening major muscle groups.”
