Class 26: Friday, Saturday and Sunday
- February 10,11,12 and 17,18,19
Class 27: Tuesday through Sunday
- June 19-24
Class 28: Tuesday through Sunday
- August 21-26
Class 29: Saturday and Sunday
- October 27-28, November 3-4 and 10-11
All classes are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
About Our Oncology Massage Instructor
Karen Armstrong, NCTM, is highly regarded in the Midwest as the Supervisor of Clinical Massage and the program director of the Oncology/Hospital Massage School at Beaumont Health System. Karen supervises more than 30 clinical massage therapists, the largest number of hospital-based therapists in North America, and she has initiated several clinical massage research protocols. Her therapists treat patients in many outpatient locations, as well as, in the hospital. In 2010, these therapists treated over 6,500 outpatients. Karen is an active member of the AMTA, ABMP and the Society for Oncology Massage (S4OM). In addition, Karen has extensive experience in neuromuscular massage and knowledge of many complementary medicine modalites. Karen is currently Chairperson of the Michigan Board of Massage Therapy and a Board of Director for the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards.
