Beaumont's Department of Clinical Pathology offers a one-year ACGME-accredited fellowship in Hematopathology, which emphasizes the morphologic diagnosis of benign and malignant hematologic conditions, involving blood, bone marrow, tissue and body fluids as well as laboratory and management aspects of hematology and coagulation.
In addition, there is a strong emphasis on the integration of all aspects of hematopathology including, phenotyping, molecular studies and cytogenetics in the diagnosis of hematologic malignancies. The program is ACGME-accredited for two positions each academic year.
By the end of the fellowship the fellow must demonstrate sufficient professional ability to practice competently and independently. Learn more about our program's goals and objectives.
Candidates must be board eligible in clinical and/or anatomic pathology. They must also hold a license or be eligible to practice medicine in the State of Michigan.
