Mark Kolins, M.D.

Mark Kolins, M.D., is chair of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine for Beaumont Health System. He also serves as chief of Clinical Pathology for Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, and is a clinical professor of Pathology with the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine.

Dr. Kolins received his medical degree at Wayne State University. He completed his residency training in clinical pathology and a fellowship in Blood Banking at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. In 1992, he joined Beaumont Hospital, Troy, later serving as chief of Laboratories at Beaumont, Troy and then chair of Clinical Pathology at Beaumont, Royal Oak.

Dr. Kolins is recognized as a certified physician executive by the American College of Physician Executives. He is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, with subspecialty boards in Blood Banking and Hematology.

He is actively involved in the residency and fellowship programs in Clinical Pathology and also the Beaumont School of Medical Technology. He specializes in bone marrow biopsies and pathology consultations.

Dr. Kolins has been recognized as a Top Doctor by Hour Detroit magazine (2010, 2011,2012.) He was honored by Beaumont Health System with an Outstanding Medical Staff Leadership Award in 2010.
