Community Health Needs Assessment

Beaumont Health System conducted a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) with the goal of improving the health of the residents in Southeastern Michigan. In order to identify the needs of the region, we compiled and analyzed data about our service area, demographics, social and economic factors, and access to health care. Beaumont conducted an online Community Health Needs Survey and gathered input from community forums, discussion groups, health departments and advisory committees. The online survey was available on Beaumont's home page and communication was posted through social media.

This assessment is aligned with the Affordable Care Act (ACA) that calls for nonprofit hospitals to conduct extensive community health needs assessments (CHNAs) and to develop an implementation strategy to address the needs identified through the process every three years. Beaumont's Board of Directors has approved and adopted the implementation plan to address the community health needs identified by the CHNA.

Beaumont is committed to addressing the needs of the community and takes an active role in making our region a better place to live and live well.
