The Adult Services division of the Speech and Language Pathology Department provides individualized diagnostic and treatment services for adults with speech, language, voice, swallowing and cognitive deficits.  Our goal is to help adults achieve their maximum communicative potential.

• AVM (Arterio-Venous-Malformation)
• Head and neck cancer
• Swallowing disorders
• Stuttering
• Motor speech disorders
• Accent reduction
• Oromyofunctional disorders
• Brain tumor
• Traumatic brain injury
• Trismus
• Dementia
• Voice disorders
• Parkinson's disease
• Spasmodic dysphonia
• Paradoxical vocal cord dysfunction

Skills of Speech-Language Pathologists
Staff members have a master's degree, have earned the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and have specialized training in their chosen area of adult speech and language disorders.  In addition, our department is a recognized training center for physicians and graduate-level students in speech and language pathology.
