I am very pleased that you are interested in the Beaumont Health Pediatric Residency Program at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. We seek diverse, talented, highly motivated, resilient, and passionate physicians who are devoted to the pursuit of a career
in primary care general pediatrics, pediatric hospital medicine, medical education, or one of the pediatric subspecialties. I am happy that you are considering our program and I am excited to share it with you.
A unique blend of large academic and warm community atmospheres, the pediatric residency program is intellectually and clinically rigorous, personally extremely supportive, and steadfastly committed to the success of our pediatric residents. Outstanding,
dedicated academic faculty; experienced program leadership; diverse patient populations; outstanding disease pathology; superbly structured education with varied clinical and didactic experiences; robust individualized curriculum; exciting clinical
research opportunities and a cohesive, encouraging environment all contribute to our success educating outstanding, compassionate pediatricians.
I am proud that the graduates of our program consistently achieve their specific career goals. About 40% of our graduates pursue general primary care pediatrics, hospital medicine, or careers in medical education in health systems, practices, and universities
locally and throughout the country. About 60% of our graduates pursue subspecialty fellowship training. Recent graduates have matched at UCLA, the University of Minnesota, the University of Michigan, the University of Cincinnati, University Hospitals
Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital, and Baylor College of Medicine, among many other superb fellowship programs.
