Mission

Provide the best Anesthesia education possible, based on an evidence-based and competency-driven model in state-of-the-art facilities

Aims

Surveys of graduated residents, fellowship directors and employers of graduates, and surgery/obstetric faculty revealed an overall outstanding level of satisfaction with our training program.  Given survey data, local opportunities, and stated national goals for our specialty, we have chosen the following aims for our self-survey period:

  • We aim to graduate residents with not only the skills necessary to provide intraoperative care, but also the appropriate skill set necessary to provide excellent perioperative care in keeping with the American Society of Anesthesiologists’ Perioperative Surgical Home model.
  • We aim to graduate residents with outstanding regional anesthesia training, surpassing most other programs in depth and breadth of experience.
  • We aim to graduate residents with an ongoing interest in professional service, quality development, and perioperative leadership.
