This two-year nephrology and hypertension fellowship rotates with Garden City and St. John's Macomb Hospital.
The fellows learn to apply basic renal physiology principles towards the broad spectrum of nephrological diseases. As such, the fellowship provides a rich clinical experience in electrolyte and acid-base disturbances, acute and chronic kidney disease, hypertension, acute and chronic dialysis, glomerulonephritis and nephrolithiasis, transplantation, renal pathology and continuous renal replacement therapy. Ambulatory training is provided in chronic kidney disease, hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.
The program will be applying for ACGME accreditation in 2017.
