Beaumont Hospital, together with the Royal Oak fire and police departments, will offer Safety City U.S.A., a group of programs that focus on educating children, teens, new parents and seniors on various safety issues.
The programs at Safety City U.S.A. will provide education through activitiesthat are hands-on, interactive, age-appropriate, and most of all - fun!
The "classroom" at Safety City U.S.A. is actually a replica of the inside of a home, so students can learn how to handle real-life situations. Through Safety City U.S.A.,our goal is to increase the awareness of preventable injuries, while improving the habits and behaviors of students - adult and child - who participate in the programs. A variety of courses will be offered through school field trips, afternoon/evening classes and summer camps.
