Center for Human Development and Behavioral Pediatrics

Good health involves more than physical wellbeing. Appropriate behavioral, psychological or learning development are also vitally important, especially for infants, children and adolescents.  The Center for Human Development evaluates and treats children who are showing evidence of, or who are at risk for:

• autism
• attention deficit disorders
• developmental delays
• dyslexia
• emotional impairment
• other learning disabilities
• social dysfunction

Parents, teachers, school administrators, doctors and others can refer children. Each patient is evaluated and treated by a team of experts that may include specialists in developmental-behavioral pediatrics, psychology, psychiatry, social work and education. Detailed reports of evaluations are shared with families and provide a blueprint for intervention strategies.

The center also helps adults suspected of having learning problems.
