When appropriate, medication may be necessary to assist with pain management. Our specialty trained pain medicine physicians and physician assistants will work with you in prescribing the appropriate medications, which may include NSAIDS, muscle relaxants and/or opioids to name a few.
Pain management with opioids will require the patient to sign our Opioid Agreement. This is a contract between the patient and the center regarding prescribing these types of medications. The patient will also be required to provide random urine specimen for testing. This is necessary so we are sure we are keeping the patient safe and managing their pain appropriately.
Our centers' phone nurse, is available should you have concerns or issues when first starting new medications. Once your medication regime is stable, you can call our center for your refills.
We request that you allow us at least 3 business days for your prescription refills. Most are handled quicker than this and will eScribe directly to your pharmacy of choice. Opioids will require you to pick up your prescription within our center. Opioids must be reordered on a monthly basis and you will be required to make an office visit every 3 months.
