Meet Our Acupuncturists

Jeffrey Rogers, Dipl. Ac.

Jeffrey completed his training in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine at the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine located in Denver, Co, and his undergraduate education at Wayne State University in Detroit, Mi. Jeffrey is nationally board certified in acupuncture and is a member of the Michigan Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and the American Association of Oriental Medicine. He has been practicing in the Metro Detroit area since 1999. Jeffrey uses acupuncture and it's related therapies to create balance in the body thus releasing ones own full healing potential. Jeffrey has experience in treating a wide range of conditions including allergies, headaches, reproductive system issues in both men and women, acute and chronic pain, and general health and well-being.

Mike Tocco, R.N., Dipl. O.M.

Mike is nationally board certified in both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. He graduated with a Masters degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, a highly respected and nationally accredited institution in Chicago. Mike is also a Registered Nurse and has been practicing since 2007 which has provided him with experience in patient care in a hospital setting.

Mike has experience in treating patients for a wide variety of conditions including pain management, musculoskeletal disorders, headaches, allergies, gastrointestinal disorders, infertility, and psycho-emotional conditions. Mike has an interest in providing support to oncology patients. On a personal note, Mike is highly conversant in Spanish language.

Stephanie Macey, R.N., Dipl. O.M.

Stephanie received her Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, IL.  She is nationally board certified in acupuncture and is a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine. Stephanie has been a practicing nurse for 19+ years, receiving her BSN from the University of Michigan.

Currently Stephanie focuses her treatments on women's issues, however she can treat a wide variety of conditions. She is located in the Women's Urology Clinic, at the Beaumont Royal Oak Campus (on the second floor, near the south entrance of the hospital), and our newest location in Grosse Pointe, at the Beaumont Vein Center.

Kylie A. Roach, M.Sc, MSTOM, Dipl.OM, L.Ac

Kylie A. Roach spent several years in scientific research at the University of Toledo (Health Science Campus) where she obtained her Masters in Biomedical Science (M.Sc). Wanting to be more involved in patient care, she pursued training in Traditional Chinese Medicine at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. There she completed a Masters in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) and became a nationally certified Diplomat of Oriental Medicine (Dipl.OM).

After extensive training in Chicago, Kylie moved to Northwest Ohio and practiced acupuncture in a medical office providing supportive therapies to cancer patients. She then transitioned her practice over to a medical wellness spa working alongside other complementary and alternative medicine providers. Over the years Kylie has used acupuncture to aide in the treatment of such conditions as anxiety, gastrointestinal issues, weight loss, infertility, with specialization in the treatment of chronic pain. She has previously worked with the Ehlers-Danlos National Foundation where she has written on the use of acupuncture for pain management and has spoken at their annual conference.  She also has certifications and training in specialties such as facial rejuvenation acupuncture and orthopedic needling techniques.

Heather Sloan, MSOM

Heather Sloan completed her Master’s degree in Science and Oriental Medicine (MSOM) at Southwest Acupuncture College in New Mexico (2001). Upon graduation, she interned at various Beijing, PRC hospitals as an acupuncturist. While in China, she learned advanced techniques in acupuncture anesthesia, Tui-na and herbal preparations. Heather is board certified by the NCCAOM in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine (2001- present). In the spring of 2011, Heather was elected president of the Michigan Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAAOM). She served the two-year term and remains an active member of this organization that educates the public and advocates safety in the practice of acupuncture.

Heather has been treating patients for over fourteen years and has vast knowledge for a variety of conditions including fertility issues, autoimmune diseases, fibromyalgia, all pain conditions and so much more.
