U.S. News and World Report "Best Hospitals" 2011-2012
Beaumont, Royal Oak is ranked in four medical specialties in the 2011-12 "Best Hospitals" lists announced by U.S. News today: Cardiology & Heart Surgery (32), Geriatrics (26), Orthopedics (33) and Urology (44). Along with the national rankings, Beaumont, Royal Oak was identified as "high performing" in eight other specialties by U.S. News, including Cancer, Diabetes & Endocrinology, Ear, Nose & Throat, Gastroenterology, Gynecology, Nephrology, Neurology & Neurosurgery and Pulmonology.
Beaumont Hospital, Troy also qualified as "high-performing" in eight medical specialties, including Ear, Nose & Throat, Gastroenterology, Geriatrics, Nephrology, Neurology & Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Pulmonology and Urology.
Beaumont Hospital, Grosse Pointe qualified as "high-performing" in six specialties, including Diabetes & Endocrinology, Ear, Nose & Throat, Geriatrics, Neurology & Neurosurgery, Orthopedics and Pulmonology.
In regional metropolitan rankings released by U.S. News for 94 metro areas, Beaumont, Royal Oak ranked 3rd, Beaumont, Troy ranked 10th and Beaumont, Grosse Pointe 14th in metro Detroit.
National Research Corporation (NRC) Consumer Choice Award
Beaumont, Royal Oak was recognized in 2010 for the 15th year in a row as "most preferred hospital" in southeastern Michigan. Beaumont also received the NRC consumer choice award for "best heart care services" provider in both 1999 and 2000. NRC research continues to confirm a 1999 study by the Detroit Free Press that culminated in an article entitled "Metro Detroiters Like Beaumont Best."
Hour Detroit "Top Docs" Award
In 2009, 360 Beaumont doctors were mentioned, and Beaumont was rated No. 1 in six of 18 categories (back pain, childbirth, eating disorders, emergency, heart attack and heart bypass surgery).
U.S. News and World Report "America's Best Graduate Schools"
For the sixth consecutive year the Oakland University/Beaumont Graduate Program of Nurse Anesthesia was ranked among the top 15 in the nation in the magazine's 2009 edition of "Best Graduate Schools" among nurse anesthesia programs.

American Nurses Credentialing Association "Magnet Status"
Beaumont, Troy became the second Beaumont hospital to receive the prestigious MagnetTM designation. Royal Oak was redesignated as a MagnetTM hospital last year, having been the first hospital in Michigan to receive MagnetTM status in 2004. Beaumont, Grosse Pointe is in the preparatory phase of MagnetTM designation.

American Hospital Association "Quest for Quality"
In 2003, Beaumont Royal Oak and Troy were honored with the "Quest for Quality" award for leadership and innovation in quality and patient safety. Beaumont was one of four hospitals in the country to receive this prize.
American Association of Retired Persons "Top 50 Hospitals"
For the fourth time, Beaumont was selected in 2008 by AARP as one of the nation's "Best Employers for Workers 50 and Over."

Beaumont, Royal Oak recognized in 2008 for clinical expertise in treating cancer of the bladder, bone, brain, esophagus, head and neck, liver, pancreas, rectum, soft tissue and thyroid.

Beaumont was listed among the nation's top health care networks in 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2006.
Modern Healthcare "100 Top Cardiac Hospitals"
Beaumont, Royal Oak was listed among the nation's top hospitals for heart care for the sixth time in 2008.

In 2001, Beaumont was the only hospital and one of 10 employers in Southeastern Michigan recognized in the biennial Crain's Best Places to Work Competition. Beaumont was also named to the 1999 list and was a finalist in 2003.

Governor's Awards
Beaumont Hospital, Grosse Pointe received the Governor's Award for treatment of acute myocardial infarction, 2003-2005; and ambulatory care, 2004, 2005.
Beaumont, Royal Oak received the Governor's Award for patient safety and quality of care, 2006.
Beaumont, Troy received the Governor's Award of Excellence, 2003; for improved AMI pneumonia, heart failure, surgical infection prevention, 2004, 2005; and for patient safety and quality of care, 2006.
In 2008, all three hospitals received MPRO's Governor's Award for Improving Patient Safety and Quailty in the Hospital Setting.
