2011 Mackinac Policy Conference

Beaumont Health System's President and CEO, Gene Michalski, was a panelist at yesterday's "Health Care's Role in Michigan's Economic Recovery" discussion as part of the 2011 Mackinac Policy Conference.

In addition to Gene, panelists included:

  • Frank Foley, site leader, Pfizer Global Supply, Kalamazoo
  • Patricia Maryland, Dr.PH, Ascension Michigan and president and CEO, St. John Providence Health System
  • Ken Massey, managing director, Micro Dose Life Sciences

The panel was moderated by Mary Kramer, publisher, Crain's Detroit Business.

Included in the discussion were topics of: the need for high value in health care (defined as high quality at low cost), and our new medical school (the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine) and its role in economic recovery.
